Paint me as I was
the child,
Innocence soon to be lost
but its hard to say
exactly when it started
Paint me as I am
the intriguing mixture,
of self-hate that hopes
to one day be forgiven
for sins too many
Paint me as I am wont to be
the talker,
big words and small actions
speaking proudly of what little I know
and pretending on what i don't
Paint me as I will be
the struggler,
fighting my lower soul
maybe winning
probably losing.
Paint me, in my final end
The dead one,
alone in my grave,
in the darkness of my sins
begging for help
Paint me....
but capture the real me
and cut through
the facades
that I've set up
to hide behind.
